Michael Witt is the Interdisciplinary Research Librarian and an assistant professor of library science for the Purdue University Libraries and its Distributed Data Curation Center (http://d2c2.lib.purdue.edu). The approach of the D2C2 is to integrate librarians and the principles of library science into interdisciplinary research to solve problems related to curating research data in complex, distributed environments. He has conducted research, published, and presented nationally and internationally on topics related to digital libraries, institutional repositories, and scientific data curation. His M.L.S. is from the School of Library and Information Science at the Indianapolis campus of Indiana University.
